Evidence needs a source.
Real records, visible provenance, and clear limits on what a listing can establish.
Overture Maps Places
The pilot imports release 2026-09-23.1 from the official Overture dataset. It contains 2,000 named records selected by GERS ID from 5,061 available within longitude −75.69 to −75.50 and latitude 38.29 to 38.44. This selection is not exhaustive or nationwide coverage.
Source properties carry CDLA Permissive 2.0, Apache 2.0, and CC0 1.0 licensing as applicable. Per-property source metadata is retained. Foursquare-derived data carries Apache 2.0 notices; the repository includes the license and NOTICE. Export eligibility is deny-by-default for unrecognized licenses.

What the data does—and does not—say
An empty website field means no website was supplied in that listing. It does not prove that a business has no website. Place confidence estimates existence, not business quality or website performance. Listings can contain old contact details, unknown operating statuses, or duplicates.
Postal reference
ZIP 21801 and 21804 use actual downloaded GeoNames Postal Code reference points under CC BY 4.0. These are approximate points, not ZIP boundaries, USPS authoritative locations, or proof of a business location. County and city queries currently resolve to the pilot’s postal reference points.
Postal reference data: GeoNames, CC BY 4.0.
Basemap
The interactive map uses OpenFreeMap public vector tiles: © OpenMapTiles, data from © OpenStreetMap contributors. This is separate from the business dataset. Attribution remains visible in the map. OpenFreeMap permits commercial use; its public service has no contractual availability guarantee here.

Salisbury hero illustration
The hero is a custom generated and composited illustration of a business using the actual A.P. DO IT discovery interface. Its geographic reference is Eric Fischer’s Main Street buildings, Salisbury, Maryland (2010), licensed CC BY 2.0. Changes include the generated office, subject, lighting, perspective, laptop, and app-screen composition. This royalty-free reference requires attribution and is not public domain. It does not show a real customer or verified office address. Map imagery references OpenFreeMap/OpenMapTiles and © OpenStreetMap contributors.
